The presidential medal of freedom is the closest thing we have. But as far as I know Takahashi’s mangas are not as popular here as they seemingly are in other foreign countries. |

Because in the US it would just be used as a PR stunt . The US isn't that interested in comics or manga relatively compared to other countries. |
