So the song is old too huh?
I notice in the credits list that the guy from the Chinese company that pulled out is credited as Executive Producer, same goes for Kozo Morishita who stepped down as Toei Animation Chairman in 2020.

Song's fine. Though I wonder if they'll do a remix of the original theme in the ED credits.

^They can save that for one of the sequels if they're serious about this.
Or just reuse the Struts version again.

Kinda sus that there's no Pegasus Fantasy for a theme song.

Not sure I ever expected to see Saint Seiya and Pink associated together.
It would be nice if they found some way to work Pegasus Fantasy in there.

If they want to appeal to the international markets outside of China and Japan they should make a new version of the original French opening song, which was also used in other languages. That song is kind of bad, but has become very iconic for many Saint Seiya fans

I can see it as an end credits theme. Kinda like how the first Kelvinverse Trek film and Casino Royale avoided using their iconic themes until the very end, almost like the characters earned it.

So this movie is going to be in English? I wonder if they wanted to do a live action Saint Seiya movie and it wasn’t going to be a Japanese product, why not pick Latin America to produce instead of someone in the US? Saint Seiya wasn’t all that popular in the States, but it was massively popular in Latin America. I think a Latin American production may do it more justice. Kinda how the cartoon “Top Cat” was super popular in Mexico, so much so that an animated movie was produced by a Mexican and an Argentinian company and this movie was super successful in Latin America. Top Cat is an old cartoon and I don’t think an animated American movie would be all that cost-effective, but when produced by Latin American companies for Latin America, it as a hit.
In terms of different ethnicities present in Saint Seiya, there exist different ethnicities in Latin America that happen to speak Spanish.
I think a Latin American Saint Seiya movie would have been successful

Because Toei wanted it to be produced in Hollywood so that it could be looked at as a big deal, simple as that. If Toei had gone with a Latin American production, it wouldn't be given anywhere near as much promotion & hype, because it'd be looked at as "lesser". That's not to say that Latin American-produced films are inherently worse than Hollywood films, but to big wigs in companies like these that's certainly how they'd interpret it.
