By now? No, there is clearly not enough.

But considering it can take years and it seems like Tsukushi planning to increase the speed of releases, it probably can happen.

This is good, but I hope it does not take more than 3 years to have enough manga material to animate a third tv season. Unless they decide to make a movie every two years; that could work if the mangaka and studio are up for it.

Well since the level of detail for this anime to stay consistent you need 4 years worth work to do that should be plenty of time do it.

Or maybe the arc that is currently at is shorter and closer to ending maybe we get a movie again, they never said it was a new season.

I think there's currently only 3-4 chapters? Definitely going to be a couple years, at least.

That is surprising? I thought there wasn't enough material to adapt?

My mind went to padding out a new season with filler, but then wasn't the whole point of Anime being broken up into seasons released years apart to eradicate filler.

I'm surprised no one's thinking of the other answer and that the Tsukushi is going to give the anime team a rough draft of his story and have them adapt that.

Maybe expand material from the game, stories related to the recently introduced characters in the manga and/or manga-only side-stories that were skipped?

There's going to be a lot of anime-original stuff here, because there's no way we'll get enough manga material, even in the next few years.

There are only three numbered chapters since the anime ended currently out.

Keep in mind that just because a production has been greenlit does not mean they've actually started production. It's entirely possible that they've just negotiated a contract and it'll still be a few years before we see anything new.

Lol! Tsukushi asked everyone to “love long and wait” on his Twitter page. Probably gonna be a couple of years but if he’s probably writing the final arc at this point because if I recall in the manga they’re only one layer away from the bottom at this point.

It's gonna be weird to know the anime will be out before the manga is finished. Perhaps they were given an outline of what happens next.

It wouldn't be totally unheard of for an anime series to get a draft of how the story will pan out so it can be originated for an animated arc.

They are one layer from the bottom since they arrived in the Golden City area, so it's already on the end stretch - but considering Tsukushi's inconsistent releases, it is already taking around 5 years and easily can take the same amount.

I heard that happened with FMA, as the Manga was still a few chapters away from completion when Brotherhood was nearing the end of its production.
