Quote: | Minazuki launched the Sora no Otoshimono (Heaven's Lost Property) manga in March 2007 in Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine. The series ended in January 2014. The manga inspired two television anime series, two anime films, and an OVA. |
Personally i never really counted the 2nd movie as both a legit movie nor the real ending to the series. It is only 40-50 min long and it is clear as day, they that it mostly consisted of segments taken from the cancelled S3 they announced awhile back and compiled together.
The ending was horrible and they treated this series very bad. As for Plunderer i have not seen nor read the manga but i know the anime vers never achieved the same fame as HLP so i do hope their next series goes it well, seeing it is using an angel and comedy hook, it looks like they are going back to their roots.

Personally, one of the best works of Minazuki is his first one Watashi no Messiah-sama then Heaven's Lost Property for me. I didn't finished Plunderer in the manga since i got lazy reading it. The anime got flopped I guess because of the quality or the story's pacing.
For the short stories Dokunie Cooking, Gou-dere Nagihara-san, and Henshin Sonata Birdie are good to adapt also

They didn't really state why they scrapped S3 that time as i remember. Maybe they got problems with production issues etc. They really treated it badly. That time I was really excited since i really want to see badly how would they execute the dramatic ending especially those 3 Angeloids and their development (especially Astrea for me since that one is epic)

The anime botched Chaos so well that there was no way the series could cover it. And not to be outdone, they also messed up Astrea as well as Nymph in the first season just so that season could end on a "shocking event". Oh well, at least the manga was good.
[Looks over at blank shelf that only has the anime.]
Well, that's weird. It's been 8 years. What are they waiting for, actual Angeloids?
