How much money has Netflix lost from this show's delays?

Literally NOTHING (they paid just for streaming exclusivity of the show, and delay of the product not even affect them at all) - unlike the anime production commitee which basically booked the full 3-month slots on TV channels for whole Fall season just to fill the most of it with rebroadcasts of previous episodes.

Nah, it's actually very fair considering the situation when they cannot get a timeslot for remaining episodes - they basically made it a Fall season show instead, and the remaining episodes will go through whole December to the end of season.

You know, not so bad. Still a good amount of waiting but Houkago Teibou Nisshi and 86 taught me patience pays off, so I'll be here for the continuation

Worst best series of the season. Such a shame. Hopefully it doesn't kill the chances of a second season. I really like what I've seen so far.

Nice! Glad to see we have a more solid return date. I was pretty crushed when the “indefinite” hiatus was announced. Uncle, call of the night and Lycoris were my favorites this season. I was actually going to order Vol. 2 & 3 this weekend to hold me off.

My question is, will Netflix get rid of the ridiculous 2 week delay in North America when it restarts. MY guess is no, because Netlfix NA is filled with idiots.

Production committee have surrendered to reality and have bought more time to hire animators to fill in the production backlog. If end-November is the earliest air date for episode 8, that gives them 9-11 weeks. If they can retrieve the freelancers and other cooperating studios who were forced out due to illness and are contractually bound elsewhere when the contact for this work expired, then production quality won't suffer.
I feel sorry for the author though. His work has attracted more fans thanks to this adaptation, but the background scheduling was badly botched. Netflix probably won't risk losing face with a second season if this is going to be repeated, so it's down to the production committee to make sure they at the very minimum release a final product that makes viewers forget all of the delays, even if it means giving up on a second season because the cost overruns overwhelm any profits made from home release.
