What a day to be an EZ fan. First the stuff in Chapter 203 happens (a warning for anyone who clicks the Twitter hashtag), and now this.
Not a solid 100% on just slapping the CG model of the ship into the background like that, though. It makes it seem more bland than earlier posters, especially after the first visual gave an illustrated model. Hopefully the production values haven't taken too big a hit. Not that S1 was anything spectacular (the art was still fairly sketchy), but it had its flashes of great animation that made me glad I watched it.
But a date announcement is just a taste. What I'm looking forward to the most is the new cast announcements. The show has used a surprising number of B-listers and bit actors for characters I thought would get bigger names behind them, considering the size of their roles in the future. If this season covers as much of the story as I hope it will, there will be well over a dozen returning players for potential future seasons.
A shame Billy Kametz can never return as Noah for the Netflix dub. If no one minds me saying, to think he'd get more lines in this show as the guy with the glass bottle shoved base-first down his throat.
Also, the lack of the arc's star player (Drakken Joe) on the poster is all too evident. Maybe next pic.

While this anime wasn't completely well received (mostly people saw it as "Fairy tail in Spaaaaace")
I quite enjoyed the first season and looking forward to this one.

I'm shocked that Mashima even continues his craft. This wasn't as bad as Fairy Tail's lows, but it also never became genuinely good in my opinion. I caught up with the manga out of morbid curiosity.
It's inoffensive though. The anime probably improves it by having good music.

I honestly think Rave Master is the best put of the 3 works from Mashima

I'm looking forward to it! I hope losing the director doesn't impact production too severely.

This may be true, but looking at things as they are instead of as we wish for them to be, we should appreciate that it's better than Fairy Tail.
