He'll need that break given that this "Final Saga" could take even longer than Wano which is now in it's fourth and final year.

What an interesting coincidence to get Berserk and One Piece articles in a row detailing one will continue after the mangaka's passing while one is going on break so the mangaka can prepare for the final arc.
Now if only the people involved with the anime would follow Oda's example and go on break (for 2 years at least) after the current arc because we know the final arc is going to be long. They can keep doing half a chapter or less per episode until the end of the arc to give Oda more weeks to get ahead. But for the final arc, if they gave a damn about fans, they would make sure to redeem themselves by making the anime watchable. In no way should fans have to deal with a Dressrosa or Wano situation where it takes Dressrosa starting in January 19, 2014 (33 chapters behind the manga when it started) to finish in June 19, 2016. The anime adaptation is suppose to take half the time (at the least) of the manga arc. The manga arc started March 4, 2013 and ended September 28, 2015. That's the same time frame. How many people went crazy during the anime version because it felt so long? In regards to Japan, I've long since called the OP anime a recap rather than an adaptation. You read, for example, chapter 700 in January and in June, you feel like you don't remember it quite well. You can just decide to wait for the anime version that will air in September because you know they do at most 1 chapter per episode due to the anime being so close so you can calculate it with ease.
I'm just stating a fact. OP anime started good. Turned bad in the middle. The least they can do is make it end it good, but I know they won't do it. Zehahahaha

Man I'm still reeling just from the Noragami final arc news yesterday, and now we've had two major bombshells with Berserk's return and One Piece starting its last saga in the near future (which granted, could be years). Crazy week.

At least 7 years it should take because this saga star in Zou, and there is so much that needs to be cover

Now the jokes of one piece lasting til the end of time will finally cease thank God.
Ok no but seriously One Piece ending is going to hit me like 20 trucks at once no matter how it ends. I've mentally prepared myself for this since Zou years ago but I'm still not quite sure I'll be ready to actually see it conclude. That this happened along side the berserk and Noragami news is just comedy

Literally the best possible outcome in all regards, this is incredibly rare.
Oda is a workaholic and was fully intending in doing this all at once, only having taken such a break during the transition of the timeskip

Given what major players are still active, I think most of us knew this would be the final story arc.
My guess is the World Government and the Revolutionaries are gonna go to war while Luffy faces off with Blackbeard. All the stuff about the superweapons and the void century are gonna become the focus of the story.

I hope Oda has a good time “preparing for the final saga” from a beach in Hawaii.

It's almost kind of surreal seeing the words "final saga" attached to One Piece, but we still probably have years of content ahead of us even if the end is inching closer.
