im glad that i watched the interview and hearing the director opinion and not just some random rumors and lies from fans that doesn't know what they talking about because they don't work there. Surprised

The bags under the director’s eyes… it’s a travesty how these guys lose years of their life for our entertainment.

AoT is extremely profitable. There’s no reason the staff shouldn’t be working under better conditions. But greedy execs will have no qualms pocketing most of the profit and working their employees to death until they’re forced to change their exploitative behavior (either via labor laws or the unionization of workers).

Sure, he could have a genetic predisposition, but it's no doubt exasperated 100x by anime's inhumane working conditions.

Just look at this headline from a couple weeks ago: animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2022-02-15/attack-on-titan-the-final-season-episode-director-goes-home-for-the-first-time-in-3-days/.182661

And then there's the example of Yushi Suzuki from last season. Sadly, the industry is structured such that the executives at the very top get to line their pockets while the people responsible for actually creating the works are used up and thrown away like everyday trash.

- also that happens almost everywhere ig . but iirc , japan's anime industry is probably the worst . I mean this logic can also be applied in different way like : compare how hard a teacher works and the money he gets to a singer or something . stuff like that
