they all sound like they could be interesting for ladies if done well(i am not able to judge what done well means for ladies) but i just wonder how many of these are actually women writing things wanting to cater to only women?
i hope they do well, we always welcome more women into otaku.

I mean, periphery demographics are a thing. Most of these are probably aimed at the Josei audience, but lots of series that were aimed at that found alternative audience appeal. Michiko and Hatchin was originally intended as a Josei series, and got a surprisingly diverse audience(the show aired late at night, Intended for women who finished their work shift). I won't lie, though I am not the most avid smut fan, the woman on top series sounds really subversive and interesting, as we rarely get that even in the western world.

They're all women. (Or at least, when I looked them up, they were all either listed as women or as unknown.)

I read GAME in French - it's the sort of angsty-good you find in darker contemporary romance novels. The art has some issues, but I definitely enjoyed it.

I guess Fire in His Fingertips must have done well, I think that's the only "ladies romance" they did before. Glad to see them expanding out to others.

It's hard to be sure from just summaries but it appears "Who Wants to Marry a Billionaire?" is also aimed at a female demographic.
But yeah, I'm excited about this! When such a limited selection of smutty series aimed at women gets brought over, finding a series with things I like and none of my hard no's can feel almost impossible, especially when affirmative consent is a non-negotiable. Seven Seas has a lot of great, hardworking women on their team so I'm excited to see what they come up with!

TL manga (aka lady comics), basically erotica/smut manga for women, is an actual manga category in Japan for years and it's been growing very popular, so some series actually get anime adaptations. A lot of the creators are women and the audience is mainly women. The online bookstore Renta sells a lot of these titles.

Color me intrigued. GAME sounds fun. I'll have to keep an eye out for the new label, because I'm all for anything helping to get some more smutty josei to make its way over.
