I hope there's going to be some screenings here in Montreal when the theaters will open again.

I'm glad to have contributed! Hopefully, Belle will get an Oscar nomination. Winning is a whole different conversation.

The frontrunner would be Flee since it's a documentary that happens to be animated - about a very serious issue (Afghan refugees) that Oscar voters like

It's a really nice movie. I think the climax is the strongest I have seen in Hosoda films so far...it's full of emotion.
One key note is this one is REALLY strong with visuals. Better than Summer Wars, I think. The virtual world of U has lots of gorgeous, eyecandy scenes.
Particularly The dancing scene and Suzu's reveal as she sings as herself

I saw it at a large theater on Saturday at 9pm. I was expecting there to be a good amount of a good amount of people given the size of theater and the fact it was a weekend, other then the 1 buddy i went with only 1 other dude showed up.
I wished i saw it in IMAX, the closest theater was an hour away. The projector was slightly out of focus and half way through the theater lost power.
I would describe the movie as Beauty and the Beast Meets Summer Wars.
