Wow, that's an all-star cast on both sides of the voices.

The only thing more full circle than this for Star Wars would have been a film done by the late Akira Kurosawa. More things like this, Disney and less repeating playing the nostalgic hits as with The Mandalorian or trying to prop up The Rise of Skywalker.

It's little funny, because I clicked on some random recent videos on Star Wars channel and they have many dislikes but this video have significantly more likes than dislikes.

It is almost as if most hardcore Star Wars fans are fickle, angry, immature, and constantly have no idea what they want.

I really, really hope that some new work of fiction takes the world by storm, and they refuse resolutely to sell out to Disney. Disney must be kept from owning everything ever created that people like.

Sadly we are plagued by a vocal toxic group who complain about Disney every chance they get and Stan horrible people who deserve to be fired.
Its hard being a Star Wars fan.

This looks very, very strange to me because it is SO anime. At points it's easy to forget that this project is supposed to be Star Wars and I'm curious how this will be received by fans. I'm sure many will be pleased with the kinetic lightsaber duels and anime-style displays of Force powers, but I also wonder if others will find it visually off-putting. Either way, definitely one of the most interesting projects to come out of the IP in the Disney era and I look forward to reviews.

You could also consider the possibility that the Disney Trilogy was astonishingly bad, creating a lot of ill will, while this looks promising, competently made and outsourced to other production companies that do not share that baggage of bad releases. At least that's my opinion and I'm gonna take a wild guess and say there's a chance a lot of people share that feeling.
EDIT: I forgot to add that this is all speculation on my part. I actually didn't care for the trailer myself; some shorts do look appealing while others look really out of place for Star Wars.

I can explain it. Basically a bunch of creators on Youtube realized they can rack in more views and ad revenue by blaming the failings of the sequels on a few women at Lucasfilm. To ratchet things up they began to make up stories about "plans" at Lucasfilm to further ruin Star Wars so they could get more outrage clicks. A mob mentality set in and those viewers who fell for the narrative began to crusade against official Star Wars videos...but not the ones where the shows are created by men for some unexplainable reason.
Honestly It's a real problem.

I imagine the same disconnect the Genndy Tartatovsky version of Clone Wars suffered will be present here, where it's so over the top and amazing people praise the visuals but feel it's not Star Wars proper.

Jordan Fisher? Do I dare hope Trigger's segment is a musical?!
JK. That cast is insanely stacked. My god.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to be a Star Wars fan these days. These shorts do look like the best thing to come out of the franchise in quite awhile, though, so no surprise the reception is better than average.

The 9th Jedi has the best cast (referring to JP). Akio, Miki, HiraD, etc. Nozawa as the lead in Star Wars is an awesome casting that I did not see coming.

Not sure if you've been keeping up with the Bad Batch but a live action adaption of the Thrawn trilogy is coming. And written by the guys who did Clone Wars and Mando. That's gotta be worth getting excited for.
