That's nice, I just hope they will be on more systems than just Xbox.

I'm glad to hear that SEGA is investing in their old IP's.
I hope Sonic Frontiers is good. |

Never played Jet Set Radio but I did play Crazy Taxi in the arcades. SEGA has a lot of IPs which they never brought back, I'd like to see a remake of the first four Phantasy Star games.
Now, I've heard that these reboots are part of a "Super Game" project that SEGA of Japan has mentioned a couple of years ago, but it seems like they're are aiming for the Fortnite crowd and that they're going to be free-to-play with microtransactions. Not to mention there were some rumors that SEGA of Japan is interested in the NFT business. That doesn't sound so good |

With a big budget, maybe they can bring back all the dead brands from Crazy Taxi’s ubiquitous product placement. Hold a launch event in a refurbished Tower Records, for example. Get the Offspring to perform, of course.

And Phantasy Star II, as well. III & IV remakes were also planned, but cancelled due to poor sales of the first two, I believe. |

Interesting that they're doing this now after Bomb Rush Cyberfunk has already gotten some traction. It's gonna be funny if the "big budget" reboot ends up being worse lol

The monetization on these makes this a monkey's paw wish at best.
I wish that I could be excited about it, but the framework that they're building the games around seems really bad. |

Sega hasn’t had much involvement in these games outside of licensing them out. |

I know, but in the end they are happening because Sega is letting them to. |
