There was definitely something missing and it was more than a bad translation.

I liked it, I've read the web version as well.
Every time she tries teasing him, it manages to backfire in various ways, with whatever compliment or remark he makes back. It's a fun dynamic but might not fall to everyone's tastes. I very much doubt there was any coherent plot intended, it's just light-hearted comedy(for those who like it). The official version does seem to skip some of the background though, if my memory serves.

The reviewer makes some good points. The viginettes do get a bit repetitive. So hopefully, it will move from viginette to an actual story.
To be honest though, I find the actions of Lilith and Yuuri to be cute, even the suggestive parts. Which most likely is a nod to the young male demographic, for which this never gets old.
The reviewer is right, it gets repetitive. But if you are the target demographic, it is an enjoyable read. At least, until you get tired of it. So I hope we get more story in future volumes.

Wakame Konbu eventually does start dribbling out small pieces of Lilith's backstory, but she takes a while to get to it.

I love it. But Wakame-sensei's works hit the right spot for me and these kinds of series are my favorite.

I remember reading that when it was still pre-serialization and when I read it after it got serialized, I thought it got worse, mainly on account of increasing page number for the same chapter plot to fit in magazine standards, which make the jokes horribly drawn out and unfunny.
I loved the purple eyes, it looks wonderful and really fits the mysteriousness and it's great that they left that feature in print.
