Perhaps having lived (and loved) in London is something to do with it, or maybe it's because Anno has tried in some shots, especially at the end, to recreate the feeling of 8mm film, but for me this is like nostalgia on steroids. Young people often worry about the first time for things, but I think you can only truly appreciate nostalgia when your thoughts are dominated by last times rather than first times.
One last kiss? We can(not) do the rest later. |

This somehow makes me think of the live-action segment from End of Evangelion--Anno may not have filmed this video in person but it still feels like his personal touch.
So this is the song capping off the grand Eva finale. Truly looking forward to seeing it some day. |

Some of these shots are from my home city of Brighton. All the seafront shots. The arcade machines are from the pier itself and the rides are on the pier and the beach. The fountain and trees are from Hyde Park / Kensington Gardens in London as well as the shots of the houses I think.
