I had two different Chrome windows (logged in under different Google accounts so they're separate sessions) opened, and both are logged into the same ANN account.
For this article, I'm seeing two different Talkback threads. In one Chrome window it showed a link to this thread at the bottom of the article, but when I tried to post a reply, it gave me an error saying, "Sorry, but only users granted special access can reply to posts in this forum." There were already three responses in that thread. In the other Chrome window, it showed a link to this page, where my reply then became the first post. (Thread link) I can only imagine that maybe the first one was a subscriber-only thread and that's why I couldn't post? I never knew that ANN had separate Talkback forums for the same article though, and that doesn't explain why I'm seeing different discussion links in the same article when I'm logged into the same ANN account. |
