Wow. The old "teenager stumbles into a giant robot" plot!
I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to animation as long as the story is good.

Am I the only one who heard Jason Spisak and Vanessa Marshall?
The female lead sounds older than she looks, but I guess maybe I'm expecting an anime girls teenage voice instead of a real teenage girls.

I like that the new Jaeger actually has colour but the design looks pretty meh. I miss the super distinct and different silhouettes from the original movie.

Well looks like there is a greater focus on...... I wanna say plot and characters.
Cause unlike the previous 2 movies there is only one apparent Jaeger at the moment.
Also second on it being very bland design wise. Rather lacks distinguishing features like the original 4.

Is the animation janky, or is it just me? Like it reminds me of the first season of Dragon Prince. Like frames are missing...

Maintenance free robot with Ragnarok proofing just waiting for single boy and/or girl to find it and solo/pair pilot it; Yup, anime found a way to make Del Toro's anime tribute more anime.
It looks better than Netflix's first Godzilla attempt, pales compared to their second.

Seems like the sort of old archetype homage that PAC Rim itself was, which is fine, but Polygon. Boy oh boy, Polygon.
Netflix making deals with non Polygon studios makes perfect sense.

I was gonna say, and im not making jokes but did they get a little better?? because I remember polygon pictures work looking a bit awful last time I saw them do something. that is unless I am mistaking them for someone else.

Yes, I think they've gotten better than their work on Knights of Sidonia. Then again, this is the trailer, so you'd expect them to be putting their best foot forward.

yes you would hope they did, in which case it would be mad disappointing if this was just a huge bait and switch. like when comedy movies play the best jokes from the movie in the trailer ,and the rest is a huge crawl.
