Quote: | Anyhow, KimiNozo is the game that cemented developer age as a force among visual novel creators, so it's definitely one I want to check out. After I play Muv-Luv. I still haven't played Muv-Luv. Agh! |
TBH, I learned on Discord this week that the JP fans are kind of amazed the EN fans played Muv-Luv first, because ML follows Kiminozo by just a few in-universe weeks, and makes a number of backwards references to it. So anyone who plays Kiminozo first and then Muv-Luv is actually doing it right. Might be worth waiting for.
Plus, you’d get to put off lacrosse for that much longer.

-Fire Emblem: Yeah, pretty bonkers they decided to translate the OG and even added save states to it. Fun times
-Hyrule Warriors: Been playing the demo and the start of it was something I did not expect.

Definitely not buying anything anywhere near the launch window. (I physically can't fit either system near my TV without putting all my other consoles in storage, for one.)
And now I'm reminded of my comically long VN backlog. I think I'd need a full year off work to even begin making a dent in it.

Still no love for Trails of Cold Steel IV? It's not like we've completely ignored this game or this series, but, would have been nice to see at least a mention!

Yeah, and if you've played any of Muv-Luv's direct sequel (Alternative), you'll notice a bunch of familiar faces from the core KimiNozo cast too
It's amazing how things end up getting localized outside of Japan sometimes.
