Yeah, agreed 100% with Rebecca’s review, the writing is just.....offensively boring, not bad, just boring (and has nothing to do with translation either, I did read the Japanese version for comparison sake) the only good thing I can say about it is that it cures my insomnia

I enjoyed this book a ton. I can definitely understand a lot of the points made, but for me this series just has something special to it hard for me to quantify. I wouldn't say it's a "best in genre" by any stretch but I would personally put it over things like Log Horizon.

As the author asks in the afterward of this volume, "Why would anyone want to publish such a terribly written work?" While the art really is the best thing about this series, I personally enjoyed it. It's the cotton candy of isekai stories: fluffy, too sweet, and not very filling. It was a nice way to take my mind off the plague and social upheaval that's been going on in the world right now, though.

Honestly, i kinda disagree with this review (in parts at least.) This is simple, unadulterated fluff. Something that's simple, easy and relaxing that people can sit down and read as a break from the current state of the world. No moralizing, no drama, no deep thinking... just fun and sweetness.
