It bugs me that they all have practically the same haircut. I get the idea that you need a good surrogate for the audience, but a little more variety would be nice.

Wow, yeah, that line up is fair. 'Let's take the well known guy and line him up next to Mr. Monotone-Face and Coming Soon Dude.

They're all overpowered and overrated.

The irony is these characters fame and popularity are inverse with the power. I'd say kirito is the most well known , and probably not that many people know maou. But kirito is a regular human playing a vr game. He literally has no power . Even if his avatar was really I think he is still the weakest. Maou is a straight up op demon lord , but his show is the newest with the smallest fan base . Tatsuya is kind of in the middle for both . Mahouka is popular but not Sao level. And he is a legit op character , but he's kind of like a vegeta to goku in this case . Strong overall but weaker than the person he is compared to.

I’d like to see all 3 floppy haired boys together fight against Saitama.

Except no one does that unless the character is relatable. In this case the only one here that might be is Kirito, while the other ones are Japanese batman/superman and a literal demon lord.

Now that's a near-sameface lineup. I don't really know the others but it is easy to tell who goes down first. Kirito is your average mortal, so he won't last a second against even a whiff of supernatural. Who comes up with these silly polls?

I'm going with Tatsuya as my pick but why did they ever lined up Kirito in this!? This just seems so one sided with him not even having a slither of a chance of winning unless they write in some unknown reason as to why he can handle his own against them.....kinda like how he does in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Ignition.

Huh, this seems fun. I would like to say Tatsuya but I'm not sure of the Demon Lords upper limits.

Tatsuya is literally written to be unbeatable Gary Stu but Kirito is the least cringe out of all of them so I'll go with Kirito. Tatsuya and hte Demon dude are just awful characters in every possible way. Kirito at least has some redeeming qualities

So, we have an actual demon lord, a magic ninja with instant regeneration that can counter all magic, turn people to dust and fire super-nukes with his mind, and... a gamer with great reflexes?
I have no clue who'd win between the first two, but somehow, I think I can tell who the overall loser would be.

Looking at how unoriginal those three guys are really gives me a greater sense of appreciation for characters like Subaru or Kazuma and Tanya Degurechaff. As well as making me respect any light novel author who tries to do something different with their protagonist rather than just regurgitating the same creatively bankrupt, self insert, Mary Sue we typically get in these sorts of stories.
