Mr Watanabe wrote part 1 of "Nippon Anime Sôseiki"; the other parts were written by Matsumoto Natsuki and by me.

Sorry, I forgot that an essay by Mr Watanabe on "The Japanese Walt Disney: Masaoka Kenzo" is available in English in the book "Japanese Animation: East Asian Perspectives", edited by Masao Yokota and Tze-yue G. Hu (University Press of Mississippi, 2013). |
