This is NOT anime, this is Pixar garbage CG. It should be labeled as such.

Better solution: Let people enjoy it.

This isn’t even first CG anime though, but it’s still a trash adaptation though, thankfully we can all just watch the original on the same platform

I wonder if the Netflix staff and mostly writers, especially Eugene Son, realize how incompetent they are if they couldn't make the americans like this, the target audience of the new version, and they displeased the already fanbase of the classic series. They must feel very stupid. Deservedly!

Pixar makes many good movies and their CGI is a lot better than this.

To the show’s credit, the CG isn’t bad and it’s visually pleasing to look at, still a terrible adaptation though

Whatever, still not interested in this version, especially hearing how we finally got the entire first season and 12 Temples arc finally dubbed. No matter how excited I (and everyone else here) will be to hope for the Asgard and Poseidon arcs (and hopefully the movies and Hades arcs) to get dubbed and finally licensed for the first time in the US, just avoid this version as this will not be making the wait any easier. I hope the 1986-87 anime version is still getting better ratings, if you want to introduce the new generation and your kids (if they can handle violence and blood and such) to the story of Saint Seiya, just show them that!

The sad thing is a modernized adaptation of Saint Seiya is a good idea especially since the original show has its problems like a ton of filler intermingling with the actual canon stuff & the fact that it never finished adapting the entire manga.
But this is most certainly not the right way to do it.

Don't insult Pixar. They are by far one of the best CG animation studios out there. Not to mention part of their influence, at least when it comes to storytelling, comes from Studio Ghibli (the director of Up, Pete Docter, said Miyazaki was one of his influences).
Story is key, it doesn't matter what medium it's animated in - especially when it comes to anime.

The CG is decent. (Also Pixar is amazing at their craft.) The characters look fitting, and in some ways better than the older Legend of Sanctuary given the character design. (Sanctuary has better looking graphics, but the Netflix adaptation has better aesthetics, if that makes sense.) The voice acting is alright. The problem is how the story was adapted. The new villain felt shoehorned in, the story feels very compressed and jumpy at times, and some parts of the adaptation is just bizarre. (I'm maybe the few that didn't quite mind Shun/Shaun being a girl. But I must say, why not name her Shauna?) Though oddly, I enjoyed my time watching it, I'm looking forward to it to see where this incarnation will go, maybe it is because of the new villain and how will this "third party" affect the story down the line. Okay, a good part of it is also The Struts' awesome cover of the theme.

Looks like they've added a Divine Cloth feature to Seiya now?

Americans have never liked Saint Seiya though. You can't really pin this on them. And people lap up bad Netflix adaptions like Castlevania all the time so it can't have anything to do with accuracy to source material. I wouldn't be surprised if this actually was popular with kids or whoever they're aiming it at despite some vocal anime fans protesting.
