The article said "The anime is intended to support the prefecture's rebuilding and revival efforts after the April 2016 earthquakes." To me, this does sound like an "an activism series" of sorts and this is a series that I will watch provided we can get a simulcast of it.

I liked most of the regional tourism shorts that were made by P.A. Works and other studios in the past. I wonder if this will be a short or a full 25-minute show. But I’ll watch it in any case. Kumamoto is a beautiful place, though I’ve only been to the Amakusa Islands.

It will be interesting to see an anime funded by a prefectural government and a few anime have proposed the idea of using anime to promote local tourism so it is interesting to see it happen with a full length anime. The preview image looks good and the main issue will be whether it will have an entertaining story.

Actually, the '-san' part of 'Domeshisan' is an honorific which the writer for the Mantan Web has added to the name of the scriptwriter. So the name of the scriptwriter in question is Domeshi. |

Hmm...methinks the Amami Islands belong to Kagoshima Prefecture. The Kumamoto Taxation Bureau supervises the tax office in Amami Ōshima, though. |

Oops, somehow my edit didn’t work. Thought I had changed it to Amakusa a few seconds after posting. (To my defense, the Amami Islands were also on my cycling route.) |

Oh, so you had tried to edit the post? I have heard that the 'Amami Ōshima Challenge Cycling' sport event has been held many times in Amami Ōshima. So Amami Ōshima seems to be a suitable place for cycling. Anyway, it was a good thing that you enjoyed the nice landscape both in Amami and in Amakusa. |
