Did well enough for a sequel project, maybe? I did see some talks about that recently.

This is an insane number for a Yoko Taro joint. This is about the number FF XIII-2 sold and twice the sales of FFXIII-3. Lol.
It took Taro a decade and a half and an outside developer to finally ship a good game boy did he deliver. I wouldn´t be surprised if these sales also helped Platinum to get a new lease on life. I am a bit shocked that the game is rated cero D (17+) in Japan though. I can name at least a hundred T rated games with more extreme content. Even SE´s FF XV, cero C, is less kid appropriate. Huh.

I was going to explain why it got a Cero C by saying that the game's story and themes have mature contents. But, let's admit it. It's the ladder climbing isn't it?

Indeed it is, that sweet, sweet ladder climbing.

Very good considering it's lower budgeted and also as a result of that didn't get any heavy marketing.
I look forward to a spiritual successor. But I'll admit the grind got too ridiculous so I just turned the auto chips on and enjoyed the story.
I hope they keep that going as an easy mode.
