Good riddance. I don't know the guy, but he sounds like a real scumbag. The evidence makes it clear what's going on.

Abusing animals is NOT COOL. It's one of the few ways to instantly get onto my List (and I don't mean the good list). I've known plenty of drunks -- drinking doesn't somehow magically turn you into someone that abuses animals. Nope, it means that you were already like that before and now have lost your inhibitions.

Better straighten up, fella, while you still can.

So he gets hammered and abuses cats. Ok. What the hell? Why? Why can't he just play video games or drunk dial ex's like the rest of us.

As someone who's competed in some of Wicker's game shows at Naka-Kon and possibly AnimeIowa, I hope he gets the help he needs to put his life back together, once he suffers the appropriate legal consequences for his actions.

The guy was a regular at Tsubasacon here in WV for many years. I only attended a couple of his panels as a member of the audience, but he always seemed like a pretty friendly and outgoing guy from what I saw and heard of him, and many of the other con-goers absolutely loved his game shows. To many, it seemed like his panels were an essential part of the Tsubasacon experience.

Even though I never really knew the man, it's still shocking to hear news like this about someone with such a popular following that I've actually seen in person, and was a major part of something I greatly enjoy.

I am the proud papa of two big, loud, and very lovable labs, and I couldn't imagine anything bad happening to them. Regardless of involvement of alcohol, the thought that someone would actually try to hurt animals in such a way is disgusting. I wouldn't wish harm on anyone, but my respect for the guy is pretty much in pieces. Now that this information is public, and he has charges against him, all that's left to do at this point is to let whatever happens happen.

Having known the type of guy he was outside of his convention persona, I can't say I'm terribly surprised. He was always a bit of a skeeze and had no problems screwing over his friends when they're at their most desperate. I'm a little surprised by the animal abuse, but I'm not surprised by his being an ass.

This is not a "nice guy" who just turns horrible when drunk, he was always horrible, he just hides it less when he's drunk.

I've never heard of this guy, but I guess it doesn't matter now, since he's canceled.
