Damn that's all I can say about this (and that's positive not a negative for the curious).

It’s one thing to have ads for the Broly movie all over the subway.

This is something else entirely.

This is quite impressive. Major congrats to the parade staff for putting in the hard work to capture Goku as perfectly as possible. I'll definitely be watching the parade on TV to see this.

Well wow, by this point we all knew DB came far in terms of popularity considering the lots of people who just paint Goku just because. But this was actually worked alongside Toei and is not a bootleg thing, this is big.

Dragon Ball is like Pokémon, in terms of popularity it's in a clear league of its own that nothing else compares to.

If I was there I'd shoot him down with a pistol. What? Not my fault he is extremely vulnerable when not paying attention Twisted Evil

I like DragonBall and I like Pokemon (the games anyway) but it's nowhere near as popular as Pokemon in the U.S.

The fact that it took this long for it to get a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade whereas Pikachu has had one since 2001 (which incidentally was around the time DragonBall Z truly went mainstream here) tells a pretty obvious story.

It's so hideous though I feel sorry for it. Wouldn't it be hilarious if it flew away or blew up? I never watch the Macy's thanksgiving day parade but I would watch in hopes that something like that might happen.
