This is a really bad month.
Ishizuka Unshou, Aretha Franklin, Sen. McCain, Kyle Pavone, Sakura Momoko...
RIP.

R.I.P. Thank you for bringing us Chibi Maruko-chan, it has a place in my fond childhood memories.

Rest in peace. I can't believe she was so young.

Well, also paying respects, didn't expect the creator to be that young.
And I did catch the series stateside where they aired it back in the day (on the channels I used to see it on), so...yeah, this hits a little closer to home.

Why not just end the show instead of continuing due to the passing?

This pretty much can be said about the creator of any long-running and well-loved intellectual property. She should lived a few decades longer.

There was extensive coverage of Momoko Sakura's passing, her legacy and breast cancer on NHK News Watch 9 this evening, including tributes from voice actresses.

You can add Robin Leach to that list also. This has been a cruel month.
