I think Lost Small World will be the best out of all the movies. I like the old style of K the best. It seems like after Hand Shakers they could not go back to the original look. To be honest I always thought Mikoto and Reisi were the least interesting in K overall. I bet there was more in the novel but they had to cut a lot to fit in an hour. This makes me worried for the later movies.

Transition to the big screen...
Well, I mean, technically K already had a theatrical film...

As someone fan of K and rewatched it, the movie's PV already looked like it had lost its artistic sadly especially the character design gives me Hand Shaker vibes oddly. Not to mention, GoHand's new original anime cover shot look bad. Too bad, GoHands really lost its charm after the introduction of Hand Shaker. I am still hoping at least they make out the Lost World story decent way since it explains important character's motivation in the original show.

Reisi is so interesting in Lost Small World, though.
Mikoto is... not interesting. I could like, write an essay about the character type Mikoto is (basically, the type of character where people react to him and that's his purpose, but you don't get a sense of his inner life, just of like, how he changed other people's lives through their feelings for him).
This movie was deliciously cheesy if you're into that, and a little too into K. But it was also sort of cringey. Like. If you can simultaneously laugh at and with the cringy aspects, and you like that idea, and you've already read the novels, see this movie. If not... stick to the novels.
Like... the novels are talky. The anime is also talky, which is part of why I like it. I like talky things. But the anime finds a way to break up the talky parts well (e.g. all of s1e3). This like. Didn't. It tried, but wow.
MikoRei have their big setpiece fight at the end.
Mysterious Boy is K's equivalent of that girl that shows up in Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, and like... rewrites... space-time...? Whatever happened there. Anyway, she's probably going to be the key to how Lelouch comes back from the dead, and Mysterious Boy is going to be the key to how the Slates come back in the inevitable post-7S sequel (because it's still making money. Either that, or we're gonna get something about the Kings in the '70's). But if you put it that way... Is Mikoto going to get Re;surrected after his Requiem, too? Or are they going to have more half-episode MikoTotsu flashbacks, or are they going to... you know... actually let them die?
Also, fwiw, the last Code Geass recap movie's version of that ending felt a lot like K s1's ending, more than the TV series did. .... so actually, I rewatched K s1 entirely, the day after seeing the Geass movie. Would not recommend unless you want to cry a lot, they're both so beautiful.
