Super excited for the new project and I'm glad to see Umineko get the same treatment as Higurashi Smile

The new When They Cry is the really exciting part of this announcement, but there's so few details, I'm more curious about Umineko Saku! We've had TIPS collections, but this is the first additional scenario outside the Question and Answer Arcs that Umineko has ever had!

Please let it be released for Vita in the West like Muv Luv and Steins Gate! I adore Umineko and it would be so cool to have it on the go. I also hope they'll use the PS3 sprites instead of the much inferior Steam version sprites.

Oh that would be nice or at least a switch release. That aside I'm curious to see what this new project is going to be about.

Unlikely given that Vita is basically dead here and has been for years. Switch is likely

Well there is chance but the game will most likely be released digitally only if manga-gamer or who ever releases it decides it's worth the investment. Now as far as the switch port/version goes I can actually see that happening with the release of NekoPara on the system in the west.

Vita is dead on paper only as far as I'm concerned. New releases still keep dropping on PSN on a weekly basis. Also Vita has a pretty good track record with recent western VN releases. It already got both Utawarerumono games, Muv Luv and Muv Luv Alternative, Steins Gate and Steins Gate 0, Nurse Love Addiction, all four Danganronpa games, Root Letter, Chaos Child, Psycho Pass: Mandatory Happiness, and a crap-ton of Otome titles. I have faith.

So we got more 'Umineko'. I wish they would try and market some of these for consoles. I'd like to get some of them in as an experiment.

Japan got ports to the PS3 and PSP, and they're getting another console port by Enneagram in the future (console tba). The west missed out on the PlayStation ports, but maybe we'll get the upcoming port?
