I want to see a movie about a guy and a 14-year-old runaway making cash selling stolen manga. I don't know where the story would go from there, but it's a good start.

Yes, but the feeling of a physical book in your hands, and the smell of books in general (sometimes, if they smell really nice, it can distract me from the reading multiple times), and seeing all those books lined up on your shelf as you try to convince yourself that you don't have a problem and collect way too much manga, nothing beats that!

And some fan translations are great but others are.... barely English...

I want to know their story. It feels like it could be a good seinen series.

There's actually a short story by Asano about a teen girl stumbling across a robber (of undefined age) in a bear suit and they kinda hang out together. It's in "What a Wonderful World!"

Honestly if don't live in Japan as well, the shipping cost sort of balances out that money difference. If you buy a lot of them it does come off a bit cheaper, but still almost x2 the JP price Sad
Unless they sell them in your country (or close to it) or you live close to Japan that is.

+ I have to be careful of Customs and VAT, if i'm not, i might pay more for that than for the Manga volumes lol.

ah also, regarding your second post in this thread: Agreed Anime hyper E-books is a way to avoid the above troubles but owning an actual book is a lot better.

What is the name of the manga they stole? All the article reported is that it has a similar plot to Kingdom.

Wow, going to jail over a lousy $200 of manga. Was it worth it, little man and girl?
