A strange arrangement, though I doubt that the show being in the care of two of the good apples will cause any complaints.

this is the whackest license i've seen in a while. Sentai streaming the sub, Funi streaming the dub? Who actually owns the license at this point?

It certainly isn't the first time we've seen a non-exclusive streaming license. |

Wow, Pop Team Epic is going to be everywhere. How do these contracts work? Let's say Sentai gets the home video license - will Funimation hand over their dub for the release? What about allowing them to stream said dub on HIDIVE?

Looks to me like the producers want this show to be exposed to as many people in as many services as possible. The Dub will belong to the production once Funimation is done with it, as a guess the production committee may be paying for it outright. In any case whoever gets the physical release ( and who says that there will be a physical release? ) will get the Dub.
It's a weird ol' world isn't it? Mark Gosdin |

As I see in the Update-Notes:
Amazon Video will stream the anime after the ending of its broadcasting? Will the Anime also Air on Netflix? |

Funimation stated on their facebook that this is not a shared license but rather a non exclusive license meaning noone has actually been given the home video license yet. |

There we go, we're back to the "Well, it's going to be everywhere just not everywhere at once" silumcasts. Let me guess who gets the actual release while everyone else gets to wait. Great, I missed those days. Guys, either learn to share or fall prey to pirates. |

When I first heard of this weird arrangement I was baffled by it. But now that I have though about it, something interesting could come out of it. Ideally I want Sentai to handle the disc release that includes Funimation's dub.

And with all this, we still have no idea what the heck this anime will look like or how it'll be animated.
