I don't trust that hand in the first picture.
Maybe it's just me but the link to the Kill Doya blog doesn't seem to be working.

Since it's about cultural kanji, and a nationalistic storyline for those who have to spend almost the entire first half of their lives learning the important expressions for larger-meaning tropes and adjectives, think "Kanji Girls" would make more appropriate sense as a Westernized title--
Something a little more in their own unique cultural...er....
"...'Idiom', sir?"
