One of my absolute favorites. Season 2 wasn't bad either except for the visuals - it followed the manga really well. I wish someone would adapt the rest. Manga was so good right up to the end.
It's a shame Funimation ruined the dub by failing with gun names such as when they dubbed the "FN Five-seveN" pistol as "FN Fifty Seven". Literally takes less than a minute of googling to get the proper name and they failed it. That was when I first noticed Funimation's lack of effort into their dubs.

This was previously available on Viewster. It is fortunate that it still has a home though: this series has a quiet humanity to it that more than compensates for its objectionable premise.

I guess this doesn't include the second season? It's existence not even being mentioned in the article seems a little strange. I guess that will come at a later time, or maybe Funi doesn't have the right anymore? It's not a very satisfying series if you don't watch both, even if people think the second season was crap(it's not, it just doesn't look so great).

@relyat08
They didn't mention the manga either, which they usually do. I suspect they just intended to hit the high points.
@Zin5ki
My impression was that the premise was supposed to be objectionable. If you think about it, there isn't much philosophical space between the Gunslinger Girls and the Major from GITS.

Beautiful show, glad to see it coming to new audiences- as well as glad to see it streaming somewhere with the opening, I remember being sorely disappointed a year or so ago watching this on Netflix and they had cut it.
