As someone who read the manga, the plot description is misleading.
It's not about a human secretary losing her humanity helping the demons.
It's about a very competent and scary secretary who does her job so well that it makes the Demon King look like an amatuer. Furthermore, she's much more evil than the Demon King as he and his army were disturbed and scared of her when the secretary suggest genocide against humans rather than the Demon King's original plan of ruling them.

I've read a couple of chapters, but it'n not really my thing...I'm surprised it was licensed, though.

I'm assuming this is a comedy. Like a parody take of Midnight Secretary and its ilk

While reading the description, I thought; "If she's so much more competent than him, why doesn't she just plan to overthrow him and take over the world herself?" If that becomes a plot point, I'm in!

There's certain scenes where the comedy setup is in my opinion really fun because of the dynamic setup, the dark lord being kind of like a Saturday morning cartoon villain and the human secretary being actually legitimately evil. Also there's really no need for her to take over because she's already in a commanding position that's on pretty equal ground with everyone else, having the dark lord be be the "leader" makes sense because he looks intimidating at least, the secretary is best suited to being in the shadows pulling strings. I'd say check out the series sometime if you get the chance, if you like it then awesome and you don't it's no big deal, at least you gave it a fair chance.
