IN this day and age, I would be careful to put the name Sakura on the title of a VN.

As someone who doesn't follow VNs, may I ask why?

I assume it's because of the indie English dev. Winged Cloud and their Sakura games like sakura dungeon/sakura angels/ect which from all appearances and reviews are completely garbage but lewd fanservice games so are popular. Last I remember they didn't even have proper routes.

For the past few years, a company known as Winged Cloud has produced countless VNs that all begin with the word "Sakura", such as Sakura Spirit and Sakura Beach. They're infamous for containing a ton of fanservice (and nudity if you apply an 18+ patch), and from what I've seen their stories aren't very well written at all, so the fanservice is their only redeeming quality for a lot of people. The difference between these VNs and other NSFW VNs is that the Sakura games were released on Steam, so they've become more well-known than they otherwise would have.

I can just see a teen doing this. His mom asks what he's supporting. He says an all-age version of a dating sim. She finds out it was originally a porno. She grounds him.
