I wonder who they will get to perform Pegasus Fantasy in English. Hopefully a pop duet.

This is surprising. I know the show is popular pretty much every else, but didn't it do poorly in the US?

A part of me says that Hollywood apparently didn't learn their lesson with the Ghost in a shell movie, but with further consideration I say "keep trying till you get it right as long as you don't mess up something I actually like."

Of the five main characters, only Shiryu will be cast as Asian. The rest will be white. Just you wait.

My bet is they use Bowling for Soup's cover of "I Ran" again

I don't see a US studio involved. Toei and the Chinese company probably believe it's easier for a "Hollywood" film to get wide global exposure, versus a Japanese or Chinese one.
If this movie gets made, expect it to go direct to home video, or get picked up by one of the smaller studios in the US.

Who heard of All You Need is Kill before Tom Cruise came on board?
If they can get an A lister, they'll be OK.

Please, Hollywood, just stop with these. You won't make any profit off it, and we don't need it.

Hyoga's half-Russian, he could end up being cast with a Caucasian actor. Preferably Russian if he's going to keep his Russian-named moves, Kholodnyi Smerch and Koltso (Then again, Toei might just keep their anime only Aurora Thunder Attack instead, but that'd be a waste I say, embrace the diversity where it lies in the manga).

Toei's producing, it's probably their idea.

I'm not as much of a doomsayer as many when it comes to live action hollywood adaptations, but even I wonder at the point in this one. I fail to see how Saint Seiya is anywhere well known or popular enough to get a more mainstream audience in to see it. GITS is one of the more well known titles and it did not do well in theaters. Neither did Speed Racer. While Saint Seiya is quite popular arguably both SR & GITS, among others, are more well known to the general public and mainstream audience. Even if this is 100% amazing and the best live action adaptation ever I just can't see where it will be popular enough to make enough money to make any kind of real profit.I hope it does well but I won't be holding my breath.

You do realise Hollywood studios market their films to the ENTIRE world ? Who cares how Saint Seiya does in the US as long as it does fantastically well in Latin America, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Europe.
