Interesting to hear the comment from the the spokesperson about the net. It's still a sad looking photo though... Seperated from your love, looking on sadly..... That new image is hilarious though. I guess he's seriously smitten. |

The Shoebill exhibit, however, hasn't been as successful, as the other shoebills just sort of....stare contemptuously back at their cutout.
(Our city park had a nice marshy island in the middle of the water where they'd put a bronze heron statue. And every summer, you could see one or two real herons setting their territories next to the statue, clearly thinking "Yeah, this one thinks it's a good spot, although she doesn't say much...") |
