Honestly, I can't really imagine how they're going to dub this.

Indeed. The series had the voice actors from the game, which are played the roles of multiple characters (so the anime is one big."one man show" in many scenes). How do they do that kind of thing without screwing up, or do they increase the voice cast... somewhere in three or four times??

It's not like this is the first time they've dubbed a show with a huge cast. I'm sure all the major characters will have unique voices with some doubling as bit parts.

Just when I thought no one would pick up the license for Kantai Collection in American soil, Funi apparently did.

Well, the kink isn't about how huge the cast is, but the original voice actors that can play four major characters at the same scene (so basically talking with themselves with different voice and personality). That's the interesting question how do they deal with this in the dub.

But more serious and funny question... How they're going to translate the infamous "Poi"? Very Happy

Most of the Kancolle cast has a verbal tick, some more pronounced than others.

There is a good chance to fail certain vocal inflections, I wonder if there is going to be a nod to the fanlation nickname for Fubuki when Kongou is noted to call her Bucky.

I never thought that I would see the day when KanColle received a western release let alone with a dub. Very Happy

This has been on my buy list for two years now. Happy to know that I can finally cross it off that list come June.

This appears to be one of the titles CR holds the home video license for and Funimation is handling for them under the partnership agreement.

That orange banner is even uglier than an S.A.V.E. spine. What's the first anime Funi and Crunchyroll have announced together? Does it have this orange thing?

Nice this is getting an English dub though.

If you see Crunchyroll's name and logo on the box that means they're the licensor not Funimation.

Also why doesn't CR just announce this themselves? This is just gonna confuse people at Wikipedia & MAL that think Funi owns the rights

Because it was announced last year at the start of the partnership that Funimation would be handling the physical releases since they already have a system set up for it
