A few more couples;
Akane and Hime from Yozakura Quartet Pai and Yakumo from 3x3 Eyes Yuto and Himari from Omamori Himari Of course these are gender reversed so they might not count on the beauty part... |

With respect to this week's poll, my votes were from the openings to Gundam 0080 and The 08th MS Team. There must be some obscure property about the number eight which ensures that Gundam series featuring it in their titles are blessed with highly listenable themes.

This seems like a good list to me.
I am not familiar with all of the shows but I do agree with those that I have seen, especially Kyo and Tohru at number one. My vote for the new poll went to "Arashi no Naka de Kagayaite (Shine in the Storm)" by Chihiro Yonekura (Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team). It may not be fair to vote for it since I have not heard any of the others, but since "Shine in the Storm" is one of my favorite songs from any anime I do not feel bad about voting for it. |

No Overlord in the list? Darn.
VRAINS in the top 20. Nice. |

I nominate Hanazono and Fujiko of Yawara!: the brute-strength athlete and the ballerina. (Okay, I recognize that Fujiko is not traditionally beautiful, but I say she counts!)

No Chise and Elias from Ancient Magus's Bride? They're like the best interpretation of Beauty and the Beast to date, and their pairing of the classic trope even has a unique twist to it.
As for the poll, Fighter by KANA-BOON is just too awesome for words. |

I agree on both songs. Specially Itsuka sora ni todoite, since the "official" opening doesn't even show any Gundam at all! Turkish subtitles? Why not! |

Not gonna lie, this week's poll was a tough one. I love the openings to Gundam Wing seasons one and two, 8th MS Team, Gundam 0083 seasons one and two, and Iron Blooded Orphans pretty equally, but ultimately I had to give my votes to "Arashi no Naka de Kagayaite" from 8th MS Team, "The Winner" from Stardust Memory season one, and the opening that opened the door to the Gundam universe for me in the first place, which was Gundam Wing season one "Just Communication."

It's utterly shocking because I think this is THE best example of this trope in anime history. Even more than KyouxTooru because Kyou looks like an ordinary redheaded boy 90% of his screentime. |

Gundam's got some solid openings, but I keep finding myself humming "Turn A Turn" and the first G Gundam opening a lot. Though I do like Gundam Wing's OPs too (the show? Not so much...)

My favorite Gundam opening has always been
Mizu no Hoshi e Ai wo Komete by Hiroko Moriguchi, the second opening theme to Zeta Gundam. A song, which sadly isn't available on any of the US releases of the show. |

That and Horo/Lawrence are perhaps the most defining cases of this relationship. |
