Now I've lost even more faith in the plot. From what I got from the trailers, the writing doesn't even feel like GitS, its more like the bootleg version of Robocop.

I know the best case scenario would be to replicate the film, but is feature-length Ghost in the Shell really worth replicating?

Yeah, I m not liking this aspect. All this tells me is that they're remaking Robocop.
This should be a world where full body cyborgs are not uncommon. The difference being that the Major underwent this at a very early age.
Welp...

Sorry but the performance is awful.

Bit of a departure! Am watching 2nd Gig at the mo - just finished the ep where you find out the Major's background where she was first changed into a cyborg and (supposedly, unless there are further twists) why. This, obviously, is completely different. Don't mind that though. Douglas Adams rewrote Hitchhikers every time he readapted from radio to book to tv (and then film, though he died during initial drafts). It could still be good.
I'm reaching, aren't I?

If they were going to steal ideas from Robocop, they should have asked Paul Verhoeven to direct.
