Since apparently each of them are to be used on different parts of the body, are they supposed to be used separately or as a combination?

It's meant to be used separately, but I think you can use them however you want.

You know, looking at the price, it got me thinking: Well, after the fact that it's probably got a huge profit margin, but why are the prices for these things at such random numbers? 10,692 yen? Why not just go to 10,699 yen or 10,700 yen?

I think the odd prices are before sales tax, so the price after tax is probably a nice round number.
