The OP theme to Kyo Kara Maoh! (marketed in the U.S. with the slightly silly but oddly appropriate subtitle God Save Our King) is 果てしなく遠い空に (Hateshinaku Tooi Sora ni -- "To the endlessly distant sky") by The Stand Up

You'll find it on either of the published versions of the Original Soundtrack: this one or this one (Both links take you to Amazon Japan)

It's a nice song - I'm rather taken with it, myself. The rest of The Stand Up's repertoire is, sadly, less captivating.

御意. I've listened to The Stand Up, and they sound like rookies. There's a lot of bands like them out there as well. Which makes me think often that American rock bands, even amatuer ones, can outdo even some of those bands out in Japan with record labels.
