Oh come on! Gals, just give him a break like Mamo and Kamiya s' fans, I mean, those guys actually got married and most fans were happy for them.
I hope the fans can slowly accept whatever is happening to him

What?? Do these people have to get permission from their fans in order to get married?? Oh my good god..
I mean, I know purity and being single is something that is a thing in japan but really. No wonder some people just straight up quit or retire early. It's kind of sad that these people can't have lives of their own. They have to live for the fans and do what the fans want. How sad.
Can someone explain this in further dept for me or point out some articles? I really want a good, deep analysis on this. Maybe i'll just go search it up myself..

It's a sad day when after seeing this phrase:
Quote: | Fans respond as expected |
What I expected was that mobs threatened him and his significant other with physical violence, or someone actually attacked him.

^ Yeah, what actually happened just seems so tame in comparison.

I'm not sure how it relates to actors in general, but I know that when it comes to the extremes of this (idol culture, etc.) it's the idea that performers have to live up to a "fantasy" so that their fans can pretend they are a figure, like a character. This seems to have just spilled out into the realm of normal actors, but I doubt most fans are that serious here; if you look at idols, you can see where the concept of purity becomes a very serious system.

Sure, if by fans you mean they just let Tatsuhisa Suzuki live his goddamn life like a normal human being whose old enough to make his own damn decisions then yes...just as I expected.
But, if he did get engaged then congrats to one of my favorite voice actor/musicians!! I love him as Makoto in the Free! franchise and his role as Shinya made watching Seraph of the End bearable. :3
If not then...nice ring? >///<
...Seriously why do fans get upset when voice actors/celebrities who are real life human beings get married? I thought fans would support people they admire not persevere them in a jar like homemade jam.

Oh, for crying out loud.
That's what I hate about people who idolize others. Acting as if they had the right to say whether a person can get married or not. This is why I hate fanboys/fangirls.

When our first thought is him getting lynched online, there's a problem with how Japanese fans view their favorite celebs. I'm glad he doesn't have a twitter so we won't be seeing an article about it getting "deleted due to backlash".
And if he is engaged or married, awesome. Congrats.

The fans really need to understand that they are humans, and that they have lives outside their work
Well if he is getting married, congratulations, he deserves being happy

That turned out better than expected. Congrats to Suzuki and I know his fans at least are wanting him to be happy. He's one of the lucky ones, he has the best fans he can get, most idol don't have this luxury.

I've been a fan of Tatsu's for years (oh, the good 'ol Otoken days...) so I've seen his popularity grow, and the change in his fanbase since KuroBas. I must say that his fans are among the most ill-mannered, unfortunately. (Which is contradictory to what Hoppy800 says above me.) Not all of them, of course, but there is a large portion out there that I would not want to associate myself with.
In other news, anyone remember the 事後 (jigo) photo of Tatsu a while back?

My only problem: the man has no Twitter account. Cats and escaped cobras do. Even a hooman rating dogs has a Twitter account! Even that POS has a Twitter account (more like 2)!

Overlooking the delusional anime fans who may get upset about this, congrats.
