Really happy about this but really sad about the time frame. So many of good games coming out around that time. Can't afford em all.

Oh wow. This actually might convince me to pick up a Vita. I loved the original Utaware game and anime, but was really disappointed by the 2nd game's anime adaptation. If I can find a Vita for a reasonable price I'd love to see the full story (and tactics-based RPG mechanics are pretty much always fun for me to play as well)

Boo for digital only for Europe.
Why do they think PAL releases are less worthy for a physical release. Not cool. Will probably buy it when it's on sale and when I save enough money for another 64gb memory stick for the vita bc they like $100+ including shipping |

You could opt for the cheaper alterative of a PS TV, unless you can get a good deal on a used Vita, unless you really want to take it on the go, where the Vita would be better regardless.

I have a vita, but honestly, I don't know why you would buy any game that both vita/ps4 on anything but the ps4 unless you didn't have one.
I hate playing on a tiny screen, and even if you use vita tv it always looks fuzzy. I dont care for this trend that started especially during the ds release with traditional console rpgs being put only on handhelds, so of course I would never pick a handheld version of a console game. |

I hadn't thought about that. Will have to look if Utaware 2&3 are compatible with PS TV in Japan cause I'm pretty sure not every Vita game is compatible. |

If only Atlus didn't censor it for the US. Probably picking it up used or at a heavy discount.

According to Atlus, their reason for censoring a scene of UMoD was "to comply with various regional regulations for depictions of physical discipline to minors" (see "Small Content Edit"). |

Their reason for censoring it reeks of EU, not the NA market where Atlus USA is publishing the game. The game should have been censored by Deep Silver and only in EU where it needed to be. NA has no such regulations regarding spanking in fictional media. |

Wow didn't expect to hear this title making a release here in the states. Would be nice if NIS had tossed in the first game as an extra. I mean people would've have paid for it.

As far as I know the latest release of the original Utawarerumono (that wasn't PC) is on the PSP. I don't think the PSP is directly compatible with the PS4 and Vita since neither have UMD drives, though I could be wrong. So not only would they have to port it themselves but they'd have to do all the translation as well. They probably deemed it not worth the effort for a 10+ year old game.
