Sweet. Ren and Aoi are in Fuka and Lynn voices Fuka.

Ended up spoiling myself on the "big" event in this one. Wonder when they'll put it in the anime, and what the episode count will be. Unsure if it is something that will keep me away...it is something that has me intrigued as to how it is executed.
I'm a fan of the Suzuka anime, warts and all. So, knowing that their daughter dies...does make me not want to check this one out.

Honestly, right now the only good thing about the manga are the covers, good lord those covers are amazing. But the story just isn't interesting.
Last month I even re-read Beck, one of my favourite manga, and I still hold it high in there. But this one is just... plain...

Beck is definitely top tier when comparing music-focused manga/anime, however I wouldn't solely consider Fūka to be a music-focused manga. Sure, recent chapters have really tried to solidify that, but I think the music, in some ways like K-ON!, is just a plot device to keep pushing the characters in the story forward (based upon events that may and have occurred). K-ON! is definitely an extreme example. Fūka falls more in that grey area in-between Beck and K-ON!.
With that said, it makes it hard to compare both series together when the subject matter is different. I've personally enjoyed both manga for different reason. Seo Kouji definitely has something in his art and writing that, while it makes me upset at times, it keeps me coming back to reading more.

Oh my. I hope they won't butcher the story like they did with Kimi No Iru Machi. That said, I haven't read Fuuka so I am really looking forward to watching this series.

I did start reading Fuuka because it was sort of sequel to Suzuka, and the premise of the main protagonist not being very sociable and a bit hooked on twitter seemed interesting. But all that is long forgotten.

That's a pretty strong cast and everyone seems to fit their characters quite well
Lynn as Fuka and Hayamin as Koyuki is going to be awesome, and also leaves me believing that the music element will be strongly represented here .
Komatsu as Sara is going to be fun .

It would make sense for Funi to do a broadcast dub for this since they also licensed "Suzuka". I can't be the only ANN Forum member who pictures Alexis Tipton or Monica Rial as the first Fuuka.
