It's been a long time, but Tomino is finally 75. Hope he has a great birthday, especially with G: Reco on that cake. Thanks for having an impact on our child/adulthood. Hope you reach 100.

I'm not a Gundam fan (neither a hater) but I realized the tremendous amount of contribution that his work has done toward the industry and anything else in general, including giving his fans great entertainment to feast on. May he live longer to see more days ahead of him and happy 75th.

happy late birthday! Love those Sphere girls in any gundam show they're in (well, in any show all together lol), especially when they work together

Huh, and here I thought he only smiled when killing off his creations. Guess it must be a happy day after all.

I love Tomino. Despite his... quirks (maybe because of them), he might be my favorite anime director.

Disclaimer: No Gundam characters were harmed while he killed off the cakes with some slices.

"Astro Boy" was the first TV anime with an ongoing story and Tomino helped with its success. In other words, this grumpy old man helped popularize anime.

The cakes are cute, nice to see he was able to have a happy 75th birthday, not only being able to arrive at that age but in good health it seems

This news suggests that the secret to longevity is to create realms of fictional characters to slay, thereby continually living at their mortal expense.
