Sounds like yet another cookie cutter Hiroyuki Sawano soundtrack on the way. Safe safe safe for Aniplex as always.

It doesn't sound like Sawano's work. I'm pretty sure that it's Hideyuki Fukasawa (Fate/stay night: UBW).

For me it's more wondering how many times they manage to fit that 360 degree CGI spin around a character shot in a forest or dimly lit setting that they can't seem to get enough of.

So, basically, this will center around Sakamoto Ryouma(Mutsunokami) vs the Bakufu(Shisengumi), trying to assassinate him? Why am I not surprised lol. A sure way to make an anime a hit among the females(particularly with the rekijo) is just to include the Shisengumi. Well played, Ufotable, well played.

Makes me wishing that the show will only feature action scenes and slashes here and there. Loving the swords.

Hmm, this looks like the one I've been waiting for. Not too sure about the version for the fall.
Now, if I can just hold out against buying those exquisite figures until this debuts, they'll all be sold out and I won't be able to go in debt over this. Stay strong, Gina, stay strong...

Yay~!! Both my starter AND my favorite Rare-3 (okay... in the game he isn't exactly 'rare' since he drops a lot...) Uchigatana swords in one PV! When I saw this, I kind of had to scream (quietly) in happiness, especially when Izuminokami Kanesada appeared.
Honestly, Sakamoto Ryoma AND the Shinsengumi are popular historical figures so it would make sense to showcase these two, considering both are pretty popular (especially Izuminokami Kanesada, who I got to see at the Hijikata Toshizo museum). Though, I don't think they'll be showcasing ONLY the Bakumatsu era, because there ARE the other swords from different periods. Like, Sengoku Period is also popular (Dategumi) and the promotional posters for Ufotable DID showcase Mikazuki Munechika, who is the official 'mascot' for the game, and another popular sword. Like, it would be a waste if they didn't include Jiji in the anime at all.

So is UFOTABLE now the studio to go to for making anime adaptations of video games? First they made God Eater, then Tales of Zestiria, and now Touken Ranbu.

Wow... That looks awfully pretty. I'm already pretty excited for the first one coming out, but I think I may be more excited for this one. Still no sign of Kogitsunemaru in either of them though.

You can tell that much from a 30 second preview? Give me that gift of foresight.

Really wish that ufotable would've tackled Berserk, but instead they keep going the safe route, and using their animation skills to carry the, lately, mediocre plots.
