Mimi is my favorite Adventure character so I was really glad they kept her original VA. I was super hyped and surprised her VA had a nice chat with me last night on Twitter about Mimi.

Lara Jill Miller is a fantastic actress and was very good as Kari providing one of the most iconic voices, since her natural voice isn't that much different. |

I will always love Lara Jill Miller as Kari but I was glad they at least picked a replacement VA that fit her character rather than trying to pick someone to try and mimic Miller's voice. That always came across as so fake and annoying whenever dubs used to do that back in the day. Even as a kid, it was always obvious it was a different actor so I don't know why companies would try to fool kids like that. I'm glad they didn't do that with Tri and it just flows so much better this way.

cool. reminds me of my experience of the berserk movie dubs. Well acted, nostalgia rush to hear the old actors come back with some new experience after the old show. Slight dissapointment not everyone came back, but at least the replacements are fine to good unlike the eva rebuild movies. Can't wait to hear more.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TEz0k_hqSU Kari and Gatomon sound promising, but I need to hear more. Biyomon is the biggest departure, which is strange because in the original dub Biyomon had one of the least distinctive voices. |

Loving what I'm hearing. Feels just right with them being older, returning and new alike. Biyomon, I feel, has a good performance but has a even more generic voice than the original. Which was already generic. Kind of like some of the character VA for the Sailor Moon Viz dub, but still have an excellent performance. I'm a stickler for unique sounding VAs.

The recast voices aren't bad. It is nice so many of the VAs were willing to come back to reprise their roles.
Kind of a shame they couldn't get Gatomon's VA back, but the new voice should be ok. This is one case that I'm glad to hear the dub. Whether it's better or not, they are the voices I grew up with. Nice to have them back. |

Agreed. Love Miller's work. I've no problem with the recast but I'll always love the original cast as well. |

All of the original and recast dub actors sounded great now I'm really excited for the Tri dub.
