Spark's charm seems to resemble Yūgi Mutō's Millenium Puzzle from Yu-Gi-Oh...

I can't tell if the Mystic leader is a man or woman.
So I wonder how each team intends to take over the world. Spark wants to use Electric Pokemon to control electronic devices? Mystic uses Psychic types to mind control people? Valor uses Fighting and Steel types to beat up anyone that gets in their way?

Um, why is there a Pokemon Go panel at ComicCon?

Why not? ComicCon is host to tons of Hollywood movie and TV show panels too.
The McD's in front of my local station is an absolute battlefield. I helped hold the gym for a whole 2 minutes. I'm pretty convinced that it's impossible to hold a gym for the full 21 hours required to reap any benefits of defending a gym.

There are also TV show, movie, video game, and anime panels. They also sell limited toy figures and game merchandise and promotions. There's more, you'd be surprised.
On-topic though, I can't help but say that Team Valor looks beast.

Just click on the shield immediately after putting a Pokemon in a gym if you're having trouble holding onto them. You'll be guaranteed at least some bonuses then.
And man am I glad to be Instinct. Candela's alright, but Blanche is disappointing to the extreme. That blue/purple/white does not work at all, and her expression's too stoic. With how far her hair's pulled back, it's hard to tell she has a ponytail too at first.

The gym poaching is a big deal.
I defeated a gym several times to clear it out and before I could deposit a pokemon into the newly liberated gym, the team I just beat out of it, deposited their pokemon back into it. Likewise, anyone could do this. I've been by gyms that were liberated by someone else and just dropped in one of my own pokemon into it.
I think that there should be a cool-down for the team that finishes liberating the gym, allowing them to have enough time to heal and put a pokemon into the gym. I'm thinking like a 5 minute cool-down.
I mean, really, imagine that you spent a good 10-15 minutes/several runs to defeat a gym completely by yourself, just to have someone claim/re-claim it before you can. You also do not get to claim a defender bonus because you never got a chance to put your pokemon into the gym. You have to hope that no one else is close to you when you take down the gym. In highly populated areas, this is a major problem, especially when the majority of the people playing are on opposing teams.

Shield??? Oh, in the shop!
Poo, I didn't know you could do that right away... Thought you had to actually defend the gym for the 21 hours before you could get any bonuses. =( Well, live and learn.
