So not only are their characters on Fairy Tail married, but they're child got to be included in the anime as well! Somebody better put that into the Life imiatates Art page on TV Tropes Smile.

This is pretty cool though, especially given they were able to keep it under wraps for so long, and I wish them both nothing but happiness Wink.

The only equivalent I can think of in the industry is the Suzumura-Sakamoto marriage given how many times the two had voiced characters paired together in an anime.

Totally thrilling to know that both the characters and voice actors of a show are married and raising a kid. Smile Congratulations to Mr. Shimoyama-san for his marriage and I wish them and their son many happy years.

It appears some do, as long as certain conditions are met:

1) They're old enough to be past the "age of otaku rage," AKA the age after which seiyuu otaku won't make statements like the one I made above, except for real. That age seems to be about 30-35, at least.

2) Their star power is strong enough that the industry won't crowd them out in favor of younger, cheaper talent.
