Well were close to the current chapters anyway, so it was either more original story or end.
Im glad Rank Wars and Invasion Arc was animated. And girigiri and yume no trigger. Toei did good.

They might just end it or well put in on hiatus for a while until there is enough content, dunno though how popular the anime is all depends on toei if they think its worth to keep makin more or not.

Not surprising, as said before the anime is dangerously closed to the manga. Is a shame though, after a lackluster begining it really became something else. Plus it was nice seeing a new long runner pop up. Every week content~!
Anyway, hopefully we will get a S2 in the future or at least a long running manga.

Isn't this technically the second season running right now?

^Yup, the first season ended in October on the same week that it premiered the year before.

Season 2 as in it coming back under an extra title or something like that.
Season 2 never happened in a way, year 2 did.
But yeah, point is I want it back.

The other thing is that the author of the manga, Daisuke Ashihara, has health problems that prevents him from drawing on a regular schedule. As a result, the anime would necessarily have to either have a ton of filler, go through like half a chapter per episode, or take breaks. I think Toei chose the best option for this one.
Provided World Trigger returns.

All I hope is that they don't do a filler ending or pull that 'thank you for watching. please read the manga' bs
